ROM Hack Animal Crossing Voice Removal Hack

So I, along with my spouse just dreads the voices in animal crossing. The older animal crossing seems to have a silent option. We still want background sound, but just cant stand the animal crossing voices. Would anyone here be able to refer me to the right tools so i can just delete the voice sound files and recompile it?
