Gaming Animal Crossing - Time Sync

Now, before anyone starts on about Time Travel, pls, this isn't the case.

I set my AC time to the real time but it does not seem to have progressed any time I come back to it.
From what I understand it is supposed to advance synchronised to Wii time.

Has anyone else had this problem?
From memory the DS version had a Reset Clock option but even when I try setting the time/date to my Wii t/d t still does not keep sync.

Help!

I think I found a solution.
Using GeckoOs to get around region lock.
Updated to 1.07b and time seems to be tracking properly at last.
