Hacking Animal Crossing Mic not working

I have WiiFlow working on my wii. But now the mic will not work in city folk. I have tried using the disk, with the hard drive disconnected, and still nothing. When someone comes to my town it starts the mic chat but we can not hear each other. The Wii Speak channel works fine.
help please.

are you running this via usb loader? if so, use 222/223 as opposed to 249.
