Hacking Animal Crossing CIA file

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help? I installed AC as a CIA file (along with a number of other games that are all working fine). AC loaded fine and seemed to save okay t the next time i tried to play it the save was corrupted. Is this a well known problem with AC as a CIA file?

Oh, something else, at the title screen of AC there is an option to update - is this okay to do?

it's fine to update games if you're using latest emunand (if you have GW). not sure about other cards.

and AC is a tough nut when concerning saves. it uses a lot of crap to protect the game. not sure if it would cause the save to be corrupted since I never tried to play it but I'm sure someone else might give some insight about it

Thanks for the advice on the update - I am on the latest emunand but it looked different from when I've updated with other games (I actually started updating but it appeared the same as a system update so just shut down the 3ds).

it easy to see the difference between system update and game update.

system update asks you to update the firmware and the game update only says there's an update available for the game.

if you have the latest emunand (with GW2.7) there shouldn't be any firmware update available tho.

latest original firmware is 9.4.0 which translates to emunand firmware GW3D 9.4.0
