    Hey all!
So me and a friend are playing Amnesia this Halloween and I'm just curious if the original story is REALLY worth playing or not?

    ~Cheers :)

My understanding is that the Dear Esther development team took over the Amnesia sequel, and that this made the game feel quite different and distinct from its predecessor, with it being more narrative-focused than gameplay.

Some will say yes, some will say no. Some people feel that the main story isn't scary enough, but I tend to see that the people who think that are looking primarily for jump-scares. If you're looking for actual story and puzzle completion though, not so heavily focused on the jump scares but on overall mental and emotional stress, I'd definitely play it. It took me a few days to finish the game because I couldn't handle playing more than 40 min to an hour at a time.
