Hi all.

If you refer to my latest blog, you know that i am trying to sell away my 3DS.

The prob is that... Well... I advertised that there will be ambassador games. If I were to do a full system master reset before selling, those games will be deleted right? Can they be redownloaded again?

I really want to do a system reset before selling it away. I don't like selling away a console which still has some of my own info inside.

Thanks :)

If you reset your system but do not reset your eShop account, they can be redownloaded :)
I thought reset system = reset everything? :P
Nope, till we get full NN service eShop accounts can only be deleted manually, also I wpuld suggest to tie it to a club Nintendo account since they are willing to restore your eShop games if they have proof you ever bough them.

So that means that(I sold my Ambassador 3DS and the account was tied to my Nintendo Club account and bought another one) I can get the ambassador games again?

Yep, its the user whos an ambassador not the system. Although they do want people to use Sytem transfer for moving games. so Nintendo wouldnt be quick to give you copies for another 3DS.

And due to region lock, you can't port ambassador games over to a console of another region.

Smart Nintendo, smart. :glare:

Thanks for the answer Zoc and Zantigo~~

Imagine Ms releasing a portable and it can't run mcc
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Its rumored that Asus is making the Xbox branded handheld coming this summer, and it will be more powerful than the current ROG Ally. So I'm sure MCC will play fine.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
If they take the ps portal approach that can actually run exe it would be worth it
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Windows/Xbox os hybrid would be cool

Yea fuck that cloud play bs, I want play from the device, esp without internet access while on the go.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
But knowing Ms it'll just be windows with pre-installed Gamepass streams
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
ROG Ally already has gamepass w actual pc gameplay from the device, so we'll see.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Gamepass, Steam, Epic all on 1 handheld would be a dream.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
    The SteamDeck?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Steamdeck weak performance anymore, and it doesn't officially support gamepass, have to do workaround to get it.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
It works okay any high performance portable will be $600+

Tried that banana fudge ice cream wasn't bad could live without it

Latest Switch 2 leak says it will have a LCD, not OLED, run most games 40fps max, and only be 1.5 tflops handheld, 3 tflops docked. That's less than the steamdeck at 1.71 handheld, 3.1 docked.

  • console @ console:
Switch 2 LCD is about like TN type compare to old Nintendo Switch LCD before. Also games running on 40 FPS look not good for us and people. 60 FPS are best for normal everyday gaming. That's weird. I think should not buy Switch 2 because it like Switch 1.5 something like that. Little improve but not major improve. I think going to skip it.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea that's just rumored but not sounding that impressive for a next gen upgrade. Of course Nintendo is very good at optimization of their games to play well, but for a $400+ 2025 console I expected a little better. Even a $299 2020 Xbox Series S has 4 tflops.

  • Anrei @ Anrei:
I thought it was supposed to be on par with an xbox 1 in power, why is it running most things at 40fps lol
  • Anrei @ Anrei:
in terms of power I thought it was a 2.0 compared to the switch man 40fps sounds whack is there poor optimisation or something?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Just rumors/ leaks. We will find out in a few weeks. But yea prob way underpowered to save battery, for longer playtimes, like Switch 1 is.
