Hacking Am I screwed?

Turned off my emunand when I accidentally clicked a on the update prompt. Now it boots to a black screen every time I launch emunand.

You can load up a backup emunand you made or create a new one.

Go back to the emunand backup which of course you took on your computer and everything is fine.
or just format emunand again and update no past 9.5 this time (also take backups)

As long your sysNAND is on 9.2 or lower still you gonna have to wait for 3.2 gateway launcher... Which I'm sure will be released soon(tm).

If you have a backup of emunand, restore it. If not, format new emunand with gateway and update to 9.5 using cia method if needed (nothing needs 9.5 right now, so it's not necessary)

If you have an image of the Sd card that will work or the a backup up of the emuand partition created using emunand tool plus the folder structure.

You are not screwed. Worst case you just create a new emunand.

Get another opinion but I don't think so.

In the future learn to use savedatafiler to make save backups and make backuos of emunand.

i did find some emunand.bins and .imgs lying around using windows exploere search tool but those are probably wrong. They are only 1kb and like 2 months old . Not even sure if they are from my OG3ds or n3ds

There are other methods to update emuand. 1st he doesn't need to unless he has a game that requires it and then he can use the rom. 2nd he can use Updatecdn or the nus thing. 3rd Rxtools if he is on old 3ds.

My emunand is on 9.0 and I can play mh4, Xeno, steam or any of the latest games.

turns out my nand.bin is from my og that i now system trasnfer to the n3ds. guess im SOL.

I'd at least get a backup of your current emuNAND and maybe generate some xorpads for your NAND while your at it. Chances are you could do a manual transplant of your titles from your current sysNAND to your emuNAND.

see the thing is, i was dumb enough to turn off while updating so i have no clue if ethier my emunand is 9.6 or its just simply corrupted

Every time I update my emuNAND i dump it with emuNAND tool and keep it on my PC in case stuff like this happens. Between 2 x O3DS XL's and 1 x N3DS XL (sys and emu NAND) there must be 20+ gigs of backups strewn through my hard drive
