Hacking All emulators on Wii, no modding!

My Maxdrive Pro disc doesn't work (have to find my AR disc to test). Will report back once i do.

AR Max Evo Edition disc doesn't work in a PAL Wii either.

Just saying, the "open slot close slot" thing is easily done on the Wii by pushing EJECT and then putting the AR disc back in.

I'm wondering if this works with any version of AR...the ones on ebay are different than the one on the official site, and I'm concerned whether older AR will work with this...

Anyone considering doing this be warned - if you have a European/Aussie wii, AR will more than likely NOT work (freeloader also).

It seems Nintendo wised up for the PAL territories.

DON'T PANIC! It is certain that some Action Replay version don't work on PAL Wiis. But not all them! Here is a version that sure works for PAL users:

Anybody planning on doing this should check gameparts.biz to get an SD card adapter by Gecko for 15 shipped, and then ebay for hori classic controllers (2 pack for only 25!), and either codejunkies for an AR (36 shipped) or an older version on ebay (around 30 shipped)

thanks for the link falco123 but I already got my sd gecko

the box wasn't even used lol still folded nice and flat lol so it was less to ship but the thing works like a charm

but i think i might get the gamebit and the gamecube cover unless someone else knows a place to buy one?

also... can you load a full GC game from an SD card? or use a program from an sd card to read a burnt disc?

I think for right now just the gamecube. but they did upgrade gcos so it supports more sd cards and bigger sizes.

This tread is sooo old and it was posted before any Wii modchip was even talked about.
Of course at the time this was written there was no way to read a dvd-r on your Wii.....
