Here it is, my first Wii program!

(click the screenshot to go to my download page)

I wrote it in response to Wasp_Box's request in this thread.
Hope you all enjoy using it as much as I did coding it

v1.0 UPDATE:

*Custom sounds possible
*Config file, remembers alarm states
*Visual interval/alarm cues

Lol I agree too! 1% is a little high though

I only expect 2 or 3 (people, not percent!) to find it useful.

I just wanted to release something while I work on my main project (a game)...kinda helps give me momentum.

Ok guys take it easy on me, it was a request on this forum! I just did some dude a favour.
I'll try to make sure my next release is useful to more than 1 of you

That looks nice.

Also a little Animal crossing style I think...

Thumbs up!

I hate how every wii homebrew or app has ii in it.
iits riitardiid!
It was the same in the xbox scene, everything had a X in it's name.
(like: PCSXBOX, Xdsl, ZsnesBox, Surreal64 XXX, caveStory X, to name a few)

I personally enjoy it. I don't have an alarm clock, and leaving my computer on for alarm programs seems like a waste of power. Would rather use my Wii. Thanks alot!

wii+tv seems to be equal in power consumption to a modern pc with energy saving options enabled.

Ah some great and mixed feedback, thank you to all!
For sure I am at least 10% closer to "pleasing everyone" next time

@wabsta "...But still, good job in making it!"

Thanks, even though it's not useful to you personally, I appreciate that you recognize the effort.

@Eon-Rider "...Probably only 1% of Wii owners leave their Wiis on when they sleep"

Yes I don't really expect anyone to do that! Perhaps if they used a separate amp then it could come in handy some time? I think the main usage will be for people who are already awake

for example, the "interval" mode could be useful to find a pace in whatever it is the user is doing.

@fishears "wrong forum though..."

Hm I agree but at the same time which one do you suggest? I thought this thread was quite constructive and hopefully inspires more people to come up with new ideas.

@nicksasa "im not really leaving my tv and wii on whole night..."

ok. Could be useful to the hearing-impaired when I release the next version though!

@WiiShizzza "...Keep it up!"

Cheers, another boost to my internal-batteries!

@IOS37 and @mousex "I hate how every wii homebrew or app has ii in it...", "...It was the same in the xbox scene..."

Yes, perhaps I should have realized that the "ii" novelty was wearing real thin, sorry about that! I still think it's better than "Wii Time" though.

@adr990"...Also a little Animal crossing style I think...Thumbs up!"

Thanks to you too

Indeed AC has had an influence on me since the NGC! And that reminds me of a multiplayer feature I once planned, thanks.

@GexX2"I personally enjoy it. I don't have an alarm clock...Thanks alot!"

You're welcome!
And that's double the usefulness already

Ok, enough from me - a nice side effect of releasing this has been the experience. And for sure it will help all aspects of my next development. Again, thanks to all

Ah more replies, I type too slow (and a lot of

) - just wanted to somehow make the thread a little more worthwhile than it was.

I don't care if it's useful or not. I like it and admire the author's effort.
Looks nice and he probably learned a thing or two making it as usually happens.

Kudos

Sweet!!!!
I'm too poor to go to the dollar stoor and buy an alarm clock.
This app will help a ton!
