Hacking Advise for updating?

Hi! Ive been a bit disconnected from the Switch Scene so id apreciate if you can post some advise for updating my switch.

I have an unpatched unit with 6.2.0 with atmosphere 0.8.4 installed. My idea is to update to the latest version in order to play latest games, but im open to any kind of advice about that.
Ive read also something about the need of using ChoiDujour but if read too that it can give you some issues if you shut down the Switch and try to turn it on without the Recovery Mode (because of the fusees), but i dont know so much about that.

ChoiDojourNX* ChoiDojour is a different tool. Issue with sleep mode is only for people who downgrade, not update.
If you update FW after certain version without AutoRCM enabled and you will downgrade back again, then sleep mode will not work in OFW. In CFW will still work.
