Just completed playing Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Besides that, i have also completed Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2 in GBA.

It is really a good game and the ending is touching

Anyone knows any news of the next series of Advance Wars

Aside from waiting you have two options as far as I see it:
Have a look at some of the hacks for Advance Wars, there are a bunch of good ones and loads of info on it in the following site:

I would argue that the DS/GBA games are more polished/expansive but you should definitely check out the wars series for the early nintendo consoles, translations exist here:

You might also want to check out the super robot wars series as it is very similar to Advance Wars (one got released in English for the GBA a little while ago and there are a bunch more for other consoles with translations on the same link I just gave).

Also, any fan of Advance war should love Fire emblem, its very similar although with a fantasy setting.

Let's not forget Military Madness for the Turbo Grafx, and, if you can find it, Nectaris for the PSX.

Field Commander on the PSP has been hyped as "the PSP's Advance Wars". Haven't played it properly yet but I think the plus point is that it's got Wifi battle.

Well, technically Advance Wars: Dual Strike is Advance Wars 3. But if you have a Gamecube, check out Battalion Wars, it's the console version. Plus they are working on Battalion Wars 2 for the Wii.

LOL thanks for all the close-to Advance wars games

But i do hope that it will be back

Fire emblem was great too, except that there's one jap ver that i didn't play
