Hacking Adrenaline Error

Hi all,

I have installed adrenaline no issues and used it in the past, i recently got an sd2vita and adrenaline wasn't working when i installed it onto it. I did the whole move to ur0 thing and that had the same results.

So i decided to copy everything back to my Vita memory card, uninstall adrenaline and start again...

I reinstalled Adrenaline with the latest Easy Installer as i have always used, same error with Vita memory card. Tried to move it to ur0 again... Same error.

My config is clean i check it each time i add or remove anything.

The error code is... C1-2858-3



I don't really want to reset and start again as i want to keep my activation info etc on there.

Install Adrenaline with Easy Installer, copy adrenaline directory from ux0 to ur0 (copy, don't move) and edit config.txt -> put path to adrenaline kernel plugin ABOVE gamesd plugin. So it should looks like this:

*KERNEL
ur0:adrenaline/adrenaline.skprx
ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx

Edit also path to adrenaline game plugin in config.txt (from ux0 to ur0). Eg:
*NPEZ00104
ur0:adrenaline/adrenaline.suprx

my setup has the adrenaline skprx and suprx on ur0 in the adrenaline folder with that designated in the config.txt. the flash is located on ux0 of my micro sd card. no issues with this setup. I'm not sure if adrenaline just scans ux0 or if it scans both ux0 and ur0 for the flash files which come in two folders. the 661 file can be deleted btw.

I may give that a go but ideally i want to get it working without the sd2vita just to make sure first. In which case i've never had to move anything to ur0 or edit the config before.

editing the config is very easy. the worst that could happen if u mess up is the plugin simply won't work. btw, I meant u could delete the 661 file after installation. that's what I've done, and Ive never had any issues with adrenaline. I tested it with sd2vita and usbmc on my pstv - no issues with either.

What's you setup of SD2Vita? Sd card is mounted as Ux0 or Uma0? You can use Sd card as UX0 with no fear Just remember to install adrenaline and put it ABOVE gamesd.skprx in config.txt

Thanks but i'm quite comfortable with editing the config if i need to but hwat i meant is if i'm not using the sd2vita right now i don't usually need to edit a config it just works...but currently it's not

It was set to mount sd card to ux0 and the vita memory card to uma0.

I've heard u needed a modded version of the easy installer to use with sd2vita since the original version has a tendency to remake the config.txt removing all plugins associated with it. it happened to me when I tried it a while back, so I just do things manually now.

So make copy of config.txt before using Easy Installer. After installing Adrenaline with Easy installer (with base game from Easy installer) just revert your config.txt and put paths from my previous post:
*KERNEL
ur0:adrenaline/adrenaline.skprx
ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx

*NPEZ00104
ur0:adrenaline/adrenaline.suprx

that is how I have mine setup as well. just make sure skprx is in the kernel and suprx is in the user sections. that's actually what the k and u stand for in the plugins.

I cloned my games to add ark and vhbl, so my title id is named after the evil lord demo which is the smallest demo on psn. I did this through kiosk mode. I wrote a tutorial on it in pinky's ps vita tutorials. it's a pita, but it works. big snooker is even smaller though, so instead of changing everything (added custom fonts and an appmeta), I just cloned big snooker and used the same title id as the evil lord demo. everything works too.

FML i did a restore thinking i had a backup of my activation files. Turns out i only did a backup of my PSTV

u lost your activation files? don't worry. TheFlow has said he'll make adrenaline not require activation. he plans to get started on that this month, so who knows when it will be released.

I'm sorry, I could've worded that better. it will be released at some point, so don't worry about the activation files.

Yeah I just flicked through his Twitter he said he would work on the activationless adrenaline in September. Can't wait!

Ok got excited with the release of Adrenaline 6 fix. I removed all traces of the old install, still getting the error c1-2858-3
