I'm trying to do a savegame conversion, but Adrenaline doesn't seem to be compatible with SGDeemer (it throws up an 800200d9 always, and softlocks the vita sometimes), and SGKeyDumper just dumps a blank file. Is there some combination of settings or another plugin that can help? I also have the 660 compatibility plugin, but that didn't change anything.

Failing that, is it possible to unpack savegames on the PC side? I've poked around but most of the threads are badly outdated.
Edit: I did not get SGDeemer to work, but I did successfully convert my PSP2 savegame from US to JP and imported it to PSP2i. I'll post the process here for any who come looking:

What you need:
  • PPSSPP
  • Copies of BOTH JP and US/EU versions of Phantasy Star Portable 2 on your PC
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity on either your PC, PSP, or in Adrenaline
Steps:
  1. Open the ppsspp.ini file, located in ppsspp/memstick/PSP/SYSTEM
  2. Make sure EncryptSave is set to False.
  3. Make sure SavedataUpgradeVersion is set to True. Save the file, but keep it open.
  4. Run PPSSPP, load your US/EU savegame in your US/EU version of PSP2, and then save the game.
  5. Open the savegame folder in ppsspp/memstick/PSP/SAVEDATA
  6. Copy the save folder - should be ULUS10529 or ULEU10529, check the pictures to make sure its the right one.
  7. Rename the copied folder to NPJH50043
  8. Run PPSSPP again, this time load up the Japanese version of PSP2
  9. Load your game, and then save it.
    1. If you have PSP2i on your PC, You can skip to step 9-6! It'd be wise to do step 9-3 at some point to prevent future issues.
    2. If you don't, and need to import it to your PSP or PSVita, close PPSSPP.
    3. Pull up ppsspp.ini again, and set EncryptSave to True
    4. Run PPSSPP one last time, run the Japanese PSP2, then save the game.
    5. Copy the NPJH50043 folder over to your PSVita/PSP, place it in the SAVEDATA folder.
    6. Run PSP2i and import using the option labeled "前作セーブデータインポート"!

There is an option to not encrypt saves.

Save the game, open and edit the save, reenable encryption, save again

Big Edit: I did it!

Thanks for you help, lucks. I'll explain the process below for anyone who comes looking. Especially with the English translation of PSP2i nearing completion, and many of the savegame conversion threads long dead, I'm sure people will find it useful:
