Gaming adhoc over vpn

hi i heard info from somewhere (warez discord) that some people are testing a kip1 file to redirect adhoc over vpn is it true similar to lan play? this exerp is from a temper on that server (name not used for privacy reasons)

Adhoc only, but there's a kip that allows D3 adhoc to work over internet, so perhaps it would work for this too" anyone knows of this?
