Gaming Add effects to Audio-in

So, long story short.
I got this converter thingy that enables me to blast my guitar through my PC Speakers
My question: is it possible to add real-time effects to this?
I've been googling without results :L

Afraid I do not really follow the guitar world all that much but to answer your question yes you can- think of all the various voice changing applications that do the same thing. Recording and postprocessing is trivial so no need to cover that.

Anyhow you seem to want to use your computer as an effects unit (in real time of course) aka real time DSP (digital signal processing).

Its a semi-acoustic guitar, which means its acoustic but it can be plugged into an amp
