Gaming Action Replay DS rom...

Ok, i got the Action Replay DS rom thru Rudolphs Backup tool so my friend can put it on his firecard. It will load when i boot it up in his firecard, but when i try to put codes on it through MY real action replay (i have one myself) it says it doesnt have enough memory or something. Do you know how i could get codes to work on it?

You can always try to format it.. or resset it.. If you go on AR's official site or codejunkies, they will tell you how to do these.. it worked for me..

Did the rom work on your flashcart? or are you talking about the real action replay cart.

The action replay rom will not work on a flash cart... EVER...

Most flash carts have their own built in cheat database anyway... the AR rom is for people who like to have a complete collection of every cart released (like me).

Just forget about it, and delete it, it wont work, no matter what you try to do.

the main use of the action replay rom is to 'unbrick' the official actionreplay cart by being able to restore the firmware on it.

I used it to unbrick my ARDS..
If you want, there's NitroHax, an Action Replay clone for flashcards, only for retail games.

I cannot find a ROM that works on my R4. Anyone know what's going on here? Everyone seems to be able to boot into the NDS rom for ARDS but I cannot. I get error code -1 every time whether i use YSMENU or my R4's official kernel.

afaik the action replay ds rom cant be used on any flashcart. But you wouldnt need it there anyways

Yeah i believe they don't work on an R4, but I'm attempting to unbrick an R4 using this guide: https://blog.claranguyen.me/post/2022/07/10/ards-breakdown-pt2/

She says that she used a flash card but I seriously lcan't figure it out. Just get errcode-1 :/ Yeah i may post my own thread it's just so niche that I doubt anyone would have a solution unfortunately

You necro'd a thread from 2008 to post this. I would recommend you post a new thread regarding your bricked R4 issue. As for the ARDS rom, the ARDS's rom uses special AUXSPI commands to read code section of internal flash. It currently does not work on anything outside a physical ARDS.

I totally made it work and fixed my physical action replay by booting the rom on an R4 just now so.... lol #ConfidentlyIncorrect
