Hacking acekard2i 3ds update 3.0 quick question

is it required to have a ds to update the acekard or a 3ds with an older firmware can also update the acekard? i dont have a ds, dsi or ds phat.

If your 3DS is on a lower firmware then you can run the update on that however make sure you use the "ak2ifw_update_3ds30_DSi143_onDSi_and_DSXL_and3DS.nds" file.

i also have a 3ds with 3.0.0.5 and Acekard 2i.. i tried upgrading the card with dsxl 1.4e, but it doesnt work.. i used ak2ifw_update_3ds30_DSi143_onDSi_and_DSXL_and3DS.nds but when i try running the file it says i have to reboot.. it does not let me start the upgrade...

The card was never updated.. it is new

What is the game icon on your AK2i?
Can you say the HWID number the update hombrew identifies your card with too?

Do you know if it was shipped PRE-updated? I don't even see how it's running on a DSi XL if the card was never updated.
