I have a n3ds 9.2 with gateway, and doing some stuff with sd cards and i accidently got emunand working but it has no memory allocated to it.
It still works but its just slow in the home menu, anyway to allocate memory without formatting sd card?

So you need to get a bigger SD card or delete some stuff on it. Did you have installed games? Also worth checking, it may be a fake SD Card with low space.
Wait why would i want a bigger sd card, i got a 16gb.
I just want a different way to allocate sd card memory to emunand (that is not formatting) so it runs faster.

EmuNAND does not use RAM, it's just an hidden partition of 2GB. The actual content of what you install is located in the remaining space.
It seems a fake card, try to test it with H2testw.

Ok... it still says 16 gb, and it says 16 gb on the label, its not fake.
I know when you format emunand with gateway, it allocated 2 gb for emunand.
i just want to know a way to allocate memory to emunand without formatting emunand again.
(If that dosent answer your statement, then tell me what you think i have.)

That's NAND memory, there's no way to make it bigger even tho it's a fixed size, 95% of data goes to the sd card, only thing in the NAND is just important files like keys
I dont want to make it bigger... i just want to allocate my sd card memory to gateway emunand...

You acting that the sd card saves the 2gb for emunand but there's nothing in it, those 2gb are the actual NAND! It's a file, that's it!

Why do want a bigger partition for emunand?!?! It's actually pointless

WTF. All the 3DS apps installed will go into the Nintendo 3DS folder of the FAT32 partition of the SD card...

@Small Kat
You can go into System Settings->Nintendo 3DS->Softwares in EmuNAND to see your available blocks. It will tell us how much space you have.

So you have ~4GB of free space.
Also worth saying. When I boot with AC plugged in and install something with FBI, the 3DS become very slow until I reboot. I don't know if it's a bug.
Maybe that's what the author is complaining about.

That is not the problem but thanks for trying to help anyways. Its just emunand that its slow in the home menu. Not sysnand.
