Hi everyone,

I need some help and was wondering if you could enlighten me.

I have 2 switches, one of them is on FW 2.3.0 and it's the first switch I bought.
I created an account on this switch and accessed the e-shop with that account.

I have a second switch which is up to date on FW and I have the same account on this one.

I was trying to download the Japanese voice pack for Xenoblade 2 but I got a message that I couldn't as the account was active on the other switch.
It also said I needed to access the e-shop on that switch and turn something off.

My question is if there is any way for me to turn the account off on my initial switch as I don't want to access the e-shop because I want the FW to stay on 2.3.0.

Do you guys know if I could for example create a new account just to download the language pack and then play the game on my true account?

Thank you for your help.

Ring Nintendo and tell them you broke the old one a binned it, see if they can get you account taken off the old one.

I'll do that. That's a great idea.

Surely if someone loses their switch Nintendo has to have the option of letting a person access their account on a new one.

Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately the lady that picked up my call said that as I had no purchases done they would not even try to deactivate the account on my other switch.

She also said if purchases has been made they would try but she wouldn't guarantee they would be able to deactivate the account on the "lost" switch.

So good luck to anyone that actually loses or gets his/her switch stolen.

I created a new account, downloaded the language pack and am able to play the game in Japanese with my real account so all is good.

Actually it worked.

I created a new account, downloaded the language pack, started the game with my real account and an able to select Japanese as the language.

Just thought I'd let you know.
