Gaming AC: WW - Pattern Problem...

Okay I was messing around in Animal Crossing Wild World. By placing patterns all over the place. When I realized that items wont drop onto a pattern. So now I can't get any items to drop from my trees. SO how can I remove patterns that I have placed onto the ground?

go over the pattern and press A to get it back
