Hacking About R4i-SDHC 4.5

Hi Guys, i just bought my first flashcart, a R4i-SDHC 4.5 3DS, will they update this flashcart to support the newest 6.1.0.11u/6.1.012e FW because i unfortunately updated my 3ds to 6.1.0.11u(Sorry, first time on having a DS/3DS.) what do you think guys, and if not what flashcart brands do you suggest that i can buy in the Philippines?

The team claims to have an update coming for the 4.5/5.0 cards, but only time will tell. And everyone tends to recommend DSTwo.

have you checked to see if the 1.71b kernel and then see if it will apply the patch
it doesnt hurt the card to try, it will either update or it will say you cant update

R4i gold would be your other alternative...

If you mean the cards you bought is from r4i-sdhc.com (you are out of luck... I don't think an update will be made as they came out with so many different models of cards since 4.5 was released)

By so many you mean 1... They've come out with 1 card since.. the 5.0 card. The RTS card already existed at that point. And as far as I'm aware the 5.0 card is just the 4.5 card with the update pre-installed..

Already tried with the 1.71b update, still no luck. I hope they will release one last update for this cart so that i will not return it anymore. Thanks guys

It's just for select RTS cards as I've seen. The 4.5/5.0 cards aren't updatable with 1.71b yet.

i know that some stores tho didnt apply the RTS stickers tho and just used 5.0 ones
so its worth checking what you got

some stores even send the card without the sticker applied and then just a sticker from thats sites
so you could have a RTS but even with a 4.5/5.0 sticker on it

actually the latest r4i sdhc 3ds V4.5 can work on the latest 3ds V6.1.0, but you need to ask the seller whether they will send the preflashed card just in case they don;t. and r4i gold 3ds card is any other alternative. check here: http://www.dsflashcart.com/r4i-gold-3ds-wood-r4i-3ds-flashcard-for-ds-dsi-3ds-p-248.html

I gave up hope on the R4i SDHC team and went and bought an R4i Gold card. They moved faster with the updates.
It took ~ 3 4 days for the R4i Gold team to release a working update for 6.0.0-x firmware, while R4i SDHC team took a week for an update, which still isn't working 100%.
