It never was, although I would suggest dumping it anyway because it's a pain to downgrade to 2.1 and having the file could be useful to you in the future.

If someday we need 0x108 otp, we wont need do downgrade again, you can make the 0x108 otp using the 0x100 otp, but not backwards

The A9LH need the 0x100 otp, and that one we have to downgrade to 2.1 to get

No, you still need to downgrade to get the 0x100 otp.bin in the first place. However once you have it, you can convert it to otp0x108.bin without having to downgrade a second time. Or to put it another way, otp 0x108 = otp 0x100 + TWL ID.

Ok we need to really stop with the whole a9lh master race thing tbh. Most of the time "some" use it as a funny joke but others just push people to do it when they clearly like menuhax. I for one didnt want to do a9lh because of the tiny risk of a brick. I dont understand why some people have to shove it down peoples throats that they have something like a9lh. Yes it is a litte faster and more reliable but there is no need to push it onto others...

This master race crap needs to end. When a9lh first came out, I was impressed but unsure because of inherent risks. As I continued to follow the evolution of a9lh installation in search of the safest method, this master race nonsense started to grow. Truth be told, my first reaction to the master race garbage was that I no longer had any interest in installing a9lh. Having to deal with that degree of pompous douchebaggery when researching a9lh was not worth it at all.

Only after the guide reached its recent incarnations and most of new brick reports were due to user error, I decided to go ahead and try it out on a backup unit. Already having all of the necessary tools to tackle the guide at any System Update was also one of the reasons I even considered doing it, as I didn't want to end up screwing up and being stuck on an unusable version.

While the guide may have made it safer to install than ever before, it's still a tedious process that is measured against the perceived value of a9lh. It doesn't matter that a9lh has been a gamechanger, if everyone thinks it turns you into an unrepentant assclown.
