You have two choices. One of which is to call Nintendo and ask them to unlink the current NNID from your 3ds, and the other is to wait a week, and re system transfer back to the original 3ds. It's all pretty well written in Pialect's guide, right here.

You could possibly use Tinyformat, but it seems strange that Pialect's guide wouldn't include it. If you want to try using tinyformat then do so at your own risk, but It isn't too difficult to call nintendo to unlink.
After rereading pialect's guide, It seems like I have a few things wrong. The guide talks about restoring the NNID to 3DS 1, when all you want to do is switch back. So yeah, i'd suggest using Tinyformat then.
IF you're in the US, sure.
Try doing so in a third world country with no official support from them... :3
I did it, and it went well

Netherlands is no 3rd world country, but only a country with bad support from Nintendo, while a lot of games are Dutch
I never suggested that, i was speaking from my own case, Nintendo doesn't know we exist from the 1st party. Everything that's brought of them here, is by the shops themselves.
I cannot just call to the US and tell them to unlink my nnid, even if my console IS from USA region.
