Hacking A9HL user - should i switch to updated sysnand mode?

i have a N3ds with A9HL installed along with aureinand installed and booting from my old emunand made with gateway a long while back. now its trusty and reliable, i have it max updated on 10.7. but i hear that with A9HL you can now update your sysnand with no problem and have sig patches just as you would in emunand mode. some even say theres some benefits to updated sysnand mode. as for me im still a little skeptical on installing things on sysnand (was sweating bullets when i had to downgrade sysnand to 2.0)
whats the pros and cons to going emunandless?

Pros
Save 2 gb of space on sd card
Only have to install gba games once
simple to back up sd card by just coping files over since no emunand
faster loading on boot

There really is no cons to it anymore since if you do something really stupid and brick your sysnand you can just boot up decrypt 9 and restore it with a back up.

Wait for a new firmware to be released and then look around here before updating.

Nintendo could potentially find a way to block 'safe update' but then again they may not.

I don't use updated sysNand yet, because of that. I'm really curious to see what will happen once 10.8 is released.

Also curious what Gateway will release concerning A9LH.

Everyone say this and that about the gba games. I NEVER installed them on anything else than on my emunand. Works fine as long as the patches are applied. So no, I see no point on being on sysNAND when Emunand is so much safer incase something brake.

To be fair, what ever you choose. Both works fine. I'm just a paranoid SoB so I use my SDCard rather than the internal NAND.

i switched to updated sysNAND on all my 3ds consoles (ogsmall/xl and my n3dsxl)

and i am all good with them, my mSD feels cleaner no 2nd partition and well you will not notice any huge changes , it is literally functioning the same way your emuNAND was.

I don't use updated sysNand yet, because of that. I'm really curious to see what will happen once 10.8 is released.

Also curious what Gateway will release concerning A9LH.

imagine gateway release an arm9loaderhax of theirs that will support every firmware up till now, that would be fantastic.
in addition, that it would work on future updates as well.

i didnt notice faster booting when i got rid of my emunand. but i did it because i got warioware and didnt feel like doing a double install because of emunand

emunand drains a battery more because of the constant read/write of the sd card slot

The 3ds is designed for that, after all it runs games from the SD on a regular

Sure, it might drag some % more by reading and writing to the SDCard. But I would say it's a myth.

i think it did the opposite for me, just a feeling though.
i feel more drain of battery after wiping my emuNAND , and using updated sysNAND.
