Yes, even with YSMenu you have to patch GTA or use a code in the cheat database to make it work.

I recommend the cheat code method as patching can break the wifi functions.

When I updated dstt.zip to 1.17 things broke, but maybe that was because of the filesystem because after a quick reformat YSMenu was working again (but I built with 1.16)

Go figure. If anyone wants to point out a good reason to change the dstt.zip thing to 1.17, please do so.

and if you really wanted your software to be used by people, it would support the latest firmware.

also, just to check, but i'm assuming that you used the 1.17 with the fake-killer disabled.

My software does support the latest firmware afaik because after I reformatted it worked.

yes, but try nds tokyo rom trimmer. i like it. it trimmed my complete collection back in the day in ~13 seconds. that was round 1000 ROMs. might be faster, and you can always disable the skin.

Testing now. W00T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AFTER WEEKS I GOT YSMENU! MY GAMES ARE COMPLETELY USABLE NOW! FINALLY! THANK YOU~THANK YOU~THANK YOU~THANK YOU~THANK YOU~!!!!! Yes. The ACTUAL R4 firmware sucks. THAT MUCH. And I did what worked with R4YSAUTO. I saved the latest zip file and re-named it to be compatible with the AK2YSAUTO. And I'm happy I did! With the R4YSAUTO, I couldn't load games. Now I can! WH00!!!!!

EDIT: I can't get the cheats working, sadly. Something I could really use.

This tool looks was alot better than hard-to-follow tutorials! Well done on creating this! However, I am experiencing a problem. YSmenu works fine, but there is no text? Like, my folders and files have no names when I look at them in YSmenu?

OK, I've installed in on my R4 (original version). Everything seems to work, but game loading is a bit slower. What are the advantages of using YSMenu versus the official R4 firmware?

Put the info.dat file (available here) into your TTMENU folder. That will reduce loading times.
