Hacking A thought for flashcart makers...

I was just thinking that with the big N going after flashcart makers the fact that they include release numbers in their fix logs probably isn't going to help their case any when they say that the carts are for 'backup' and multi-media purposes.
 
Then I sallute Nintendo and wish them good luck to putting an end to the flashcart market armed with a bunch of numbers.

No what I mean is that they do their best to distance themselves from their 'roms' roots and yet use scene numbering in their changelogs.

yeah......but that would kinda make it harder to read for everybody...not just Nintendo...haha..

The names are copyrighted, the numbers are not. They would get in trouble MUCH more quickly by using the actual names.

Aaah, I never thought of that. Fair enough, I can see why they do it that way now then.
 
It's fine having the numbers, it's only as bad as talking about backups anyway since you could be backuping a rom which corresponds to a number for the name of that rom listed somewhere.
