PS1/2 A really dumb question about the PS3

OK, I never understood what's up with the Spider-Man for they used for the PS3 logo, I know is old news, but I never found out why they used the same font.

In my ignorance I thought maybe they would release the Spider-Man 3 game exclusively but it didn't happen.

Does any one has any idea why the logo uses the Spider-man movie font?

at first i didn't really like the new font for the ps3 but now i've grown to like it.
