So I just started using Tinfoil to download my games onto my sd card. The problem is that my sd card doesn't have a lot of space.
Is there a way to download switch xci/nsp/nsz games onto my switch's eternal storage using Tinfoil?

Are you asking about an external USB device, or are you asking about the internal NAND storage? Tinfoil can do the latter while using Atmosphere.

Tinfoil should be installing the games to your SD card. Right now, Any of the CFWs, (Atmosphere will need the appropriate patches,) will let you install games to your NAND or the SD card.

SX OS, and only SX OS, has two features the others do not.
(1) it can mount an XCI without installing it. The switch will think a mounted XCI is a physically game inserted into the gameslot.
(2) It can read XCIs off an USB HDD.

Some people use those features together to keep their XCIs on USB HDDs, either while only docked, or portable with bus powered USB-c drives.
