In regard to MP3, I hear the word trilogy. Does this mean that the 3 Prime games all share a story? Should I play 1 and 2 before 3? Also, where does Hunters fit into the Prime timeline? I think I saw Sylux in one of the videos on the Wii Preview channel. Also, where do Metroid/Super/Fusion fit into with Prime? Or is Prime a different timeline/universe from the platformers?

The Prime series fits chronologically between Metroid and Metroid 2.

If you played Prime 1 and 2, you'll understand the story of 3 better.

The story of Hunters happened after Prime 1 but before Prime 2, but I don't think it fits in the main Prime story.

The games' timeline:

Metroid
Metroid II
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime Hunters
Metroid Prime 2
Metroid Prime 3
Super Metroid (Metroid 3)
Metroid Fusion (Metrod 4)

As mentioned above, it would be better to play MP1+2 before 3. MPH has nothing to do with the Prime trilogy story-wise. Alternatively you can read the storyline.

Oh, and Hunters is not a bad game. Actually it's a very good one, just not as good as other Metroid games

Super Metroid (Metroid 3)
Metroid Fusion (Metrod 4)

Actually, Metroid 2 comes after the Prime series.

Although chronologically Prime Hunters fits between Prime 1 and 2, so far it has no value in the Metroid storyline. Its really more of a side-story.

You're right. My fault

Now corrected.
