ROM Hack A couple quick questions about Forwarder3-DS

Hey,

If you read my previous thread yesterday about .nds to .cia conversion then you can see i fixed that problem.

Now i have a couple questions. One of them is about a game.

Question #1: How do you even save in Pokemon Platinum?

Question #2: Are there any other cheats other than the one that was mentioned on the application's thread? You know like any preinstalled ones like Wood on R4i. https://filetrip.net/nds-downloads/utilities/download-dsatm-5-1-f31528.html

Question #3: Is the screen supposed to move automatically to enter games? It basically shows the DSi Boot Screen with the H&S message but automatically jumps to the game with no touch input.

I ask about saving because apparently its not like the Pokemon games of today when you just like press "Start" or do stuff on the bottom screen to save it. Its a DS game. I was thinking it auto saved so i quit and i went on it today and found out my data didn't save.

You should know the answer if you read the corresponding threads, but oh well...

1) Many games need a donor ROM, so just make a Forwarder for Mario Kart DS and set that as donor.
2) Since games run in NDS mode you can't really use cheats, but I think TWiLightMenu++ can allow for some as I was never interested in using cheats in NDS games...
3) What exactly do you mean? When a game loads it should load just like it would if it was a cartridge you were playing off of but with slightly longer loading at the start at least. Once you select a Forwarder on the Home Menu and you start it, it just starts, what did you expect?

And all Pokemon games in the main series have only manual saving, so don't know why you thought it autosaved...

Oh...my apologies for not seeing some threads already existed. And the thread that has the application on it says you can put cheats directly into the ROM so it could work. The question is what type of cheats does it mean? Speedhacks?

From what I see it works with any cheat, but there may be limitations, so just try and see, simple If using Forwarders, you can edit or replace the ROM with one that's extremely similar and has the same name without needing to remake the Forwarder, just replace the .NDS file (used this method to make my ROMhack as I went through the story in both Platinum and Black), so really easy to test what cheats will work and what won't.
