That's right, they aren't. Not sure what that has to do with GCN games on Switch, though.

GCN games would actually be emulated, unlike on the Wii U. GCN and Wii games are the only ones that aren't emulated, right. Same goes with the GBA games on the 3DS, unlike on the Wii U.

Question for OP, do you mean they should do a sort of like Retroarch? Because that would be pretty awesome I got to say.

Is the emulation good? I don't want it half assed, I want it to be on par with Nintendo's Virtual Console emulators.

Well Retroarch is pretty powerful since it can use a range of different emulators and bioses. Test it out. It even exist for the 3ds.
