Homebrew 8bitdo Pro 2 on Nintendont?

Just wondering if anyone was able to use the 8bitdo Pro 2 for Nintendont. I saw a post on a reddit thread saying they were able to do it but can’t seem to do it myself.

I tried using HIDTest but I don’t think it worked (maybe other factors such as the USB-C cable affected this). I’m curious to see if anyone else was able to connect this controller for their Wii, thanks.

Sorry for bothering you, but did you get it working? I also wasn't able to. I even contacted the only reddit dude who wrote about it working you mentioned and he replied with the suggestion that something might be wrong with my cables, which surely is not. I also tried to test it along with my actual Xbox360 wired controller in RetrodeTest with results of error=-4 and normal outputs respectively.
