Soon, WWDC23 will begin. WWDC stands for WorldWide Developer’s Conference. The Apple Keynote will begin broadcasting June 5 at 10:00 PM PT (June 6 at 1:00 AM EST), live from Apple Park. The actual Conference will be held June 5-9. We may see the reveal of the iPhone 15, a new Mac, a new iPad, or a new Apple Watch this WWDC. The WWDC email sent out yesterday did mention code, so improvements to Swift (Apple's programming language) or new apps might come to mind. You can add the date to your Apple calendar here: https://c.apple.com/r?v=2&a=o2CKfLM8dAL7lynfnyn7UMYz3cVNQliDv3MXOXzGQD5IVaYOeqpDSSGNpmtVYovY9nlDqS2lf+z2s2/ePu3WA+lwn8UjUoM/4LCElTm0K2912nG4D65CCrjISAjpHzkh43CVSzKuCHICkADE7MBi2JJeShp42RQn+sXr6EhBKmZiUUi5b826ntK5lyzQaWGNcYfeFTybzaulRwZUQU/5FDEUYqONjbaGLnoaFdyTqoU1rneQD3u0ycq4K822f6qvN4WPDKrgfbbq0K2L+ZxywQJ8IZXoCxTRPOY2kOmSfLc=

What do you want to see at WWDC23?

One thing I'd love to see, which will never happen, is Apple embracing gaming on Mac in a way that isn't just making it easier for people to port mobile games to the platform. I understand that officially adopting Vulkan would be admitting defeat, but embracing and endorsing MoltenVK would be a step towards making modern games better. Then again, the best thing they could do is adding a Rosetta-like wrapper for 32bit-applications so that all those Mac games I have in my Steam library would start working again.

Literally same
My M2 Macbook is a beast and I wish Apple would lean in more on gaming

Finally got around to watching the keynote.. it was odd to see Kojima show up, but I guess it's evidence that Apple are at least pretending to care about gaming on the Mac. They seem to want to coax developers and gamers over by making a "Game Mode" that will reduce system overhead and with tools that makes porting their games to Metal easier.

This kind of half-assed pandering just reminds me of how they went all "we luv gamerz lol" at some other WWDC a few years ago and then note to long afterwords they shut off support for 32bit applications which rendered the majority of my Steam library unplayable. You've hurt me one too many times, Tim!
