you need run it with admin rights, and activate module service...
Oh no, I had a whole thread of me trying to get it working.
  • Running as admin
  • Installing the service
  • Closing other internet-related applications
  • Changing the ports it ran on
  • Restarting the PC
Absolutely nothing worked, it always showed in Firefox but the Wii U said page not found.

did you disable the firewall on windows so that you could connect to it?

okay,

I'm taking a break..if someone can test the last file and let me know what happened. if dies and shows the url, than curl is working and we are 99% there.

Yep, it still did nothing on the Wii U.
I wish I knew what the magic is with HFS and how it worked perfectly out of the box, while Apache just sat there flipping me off for eternity.

I don't like the way progress is being shared currently, so I decided to clean up and push the changes I've come up with so far. You can find my progress here. This version downloads the .elf, but still crashes somewhere in curl_easy_perform apparently. Don't forget changing the search bytes to match your url.

In case anyone has any ideas or comes up with something -> pull requests or write here.

when the clean up the threads it seems to prune access to network. If you don't prune it on later builds, it crashes. So after pruning you need to re-initialize the network. I had to work through this process to get gecko to work with Loadiine V4.

Yeah, there was a little argument earlier about who knew what, so this led to me suggesting the definitions of the two words lol :P

Don't get me wrong, I never doubt you knew what userland/kernel exploit was. I'm more afraid of less experience users comming to this thread and spaming it all over. Even if you tell them what user-land is and what kernel exploit is I'm afraid that wont be enough if they don't know what one or other can provide them.

In total agreement with that. Although I have noticed a great reduction in noobs recently (I am quite impressed to see that) there are still a few who will really need pointing in the right directions.

good..good.now this one should show you your Wii U's IP, if it is you Wii U's IP, than we have successfully re-initialized the network. If not, we have not.
What's all this talk about URLs? Is it gonna be loading files from external servers in its final form?
That's not gonna work for people like myself with their Wii U set to only connect to our personal server.

Hi,
I read carefully everything that has been going on and I'm very grateful that a lot of people are working on this great project. I'm using a 5.4.0E Wii U, I tried the Unknown loadiine (from 05SonicBlue) and it seems to work, I mean, I can use the Kernel OS driver for the loadiine, then the loadiine, then the miimaker and I get the menu with the game I loaded with the new SD hierarchy. I checked the compatibility list and put Donkey Kong tropical Freeze and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker on the SD card. But I get an error, it says 'Can't launch game!' and I can't get out of the menu afterwards. I don't have a Smash Bros maybe that's why it says that, I don't know, do you have any idea why?

This version of Loadiine needs Smash Bros as disc or digital version.
