I was thinking of buying a 3DS XL and a gateway card and i was wondering if you knew with what firmware do they ship now, is it below 9.2?

I'm not sure, most likely the most recent ships with 8.1 right now.

If i was you i would get one second hand (Olx.pt or Loja Game) or look for it boxed with 2012 logo / ask to open it.

Looking for a 4.x-4.5 console is your best bet right now.

Ps. I'm selling mine with 9.2 FW btw but with tons of eshop games + cubic ninja ;)
