My old 3ds hasn't been able to read game cards for a while, I think it could be a bent pin since all my ds game work in my dsi but not in the 3ds

Iv'e tried using a hand pump to blow air into the game card slot, and Iv'e tried cleaning the game cards but neither helped

I'm hoping that i don't have to replace the slot or pins

i don't currently have any screwdrivers that fit the screws on the back
You will have to get a good, fitting screwdriver to repair the damage (if any). For the 2DS models and the O3DSXL game cart reader must be desoldered to solder in a spare part afterwards. O3DS and N3DS(XL) can have the reader removed+plugged in very easily.

As long as the SD slot is still working more or less all functions can be achieved by installing 3DS software to SD and using TWiLight Menu++ for DS(i) software.

Considers installing custom firmware (if not already done).

Good luck and have fun!
