3DS vs. 3DS XL - hacked at the same time?

    I was just curious as to whether or not they had the same architecture, ie will be they be hacked at the same time (if they ever do get hacked.) I am looking to purchase a 3DS right now, and I just wanted to know if a homebrew hack would be exclusive to one of the other.

    If they're ever hacked, yes.

    Edit - yes, both at the same time, that is. Save for the screen size, shell size, motherboard size, and other nonessential hardware (like speakers), they're literally the same console.

    They're as alike as the dsi and dsiXL. Totally the same electronically.

    But yeah, rambling aside - Software wise and core component wise, the 3DS and 3DS XL are identical, so any hack that is potentially released will work on both, provided your system is on a compatible firmware.
