Hardware 3ds Video Call

I was thinking about it the other day... It would be way cool to text chat and video chat with online friends.

Nintendo try to stay clear of things like that on their handhelds :/ I think it's because they are looking out for kids.

Then why the wii u is going to have a video call, i know that most of people who has the 3ds are thinking about buying or will buy a wii u. It's pointless to say that they're triyng to evade something since they're not guilty about whom you call or talk to.

You didn't notice I said "handheld" and not console?

Why do you think the nintendo "handhelds" have friend codes . The wii U is a console. Parents can watch what their kids are doing when it comes to consoles and restrict what they are doing on it. It's different with a handheld they can do stuff unsupervised.

the wii U will be a handheld , as in its got a 6 inch touch screen, it can work without the tv being on, so how is the parent going to restrict it when the kid runs into the bathroom to make video sex calls???? is it not a handheld then or are you going to take it to its complete literal definition? and as who owns the 3ds, im going to say in majority, the owners will be average age 16-30, seeing as how much it costs.

Because you have to have someones friend code, aka actually know them...
And wasn't it only over local wifi?

It's over internet WiFi too

Giving out pokemon b/w FC's online to battle suddenly makes you know the person, oh okay. lol

alot of parents work, what if they are not in the house??? they will then need to learn how to use the parental controls, the same they would have to on a 3ds if they cared any, wich is why nintendo puts that in the disclosure. point is, if they didnt want children to be exposed to something then they would not have even bothered with putting in the internet browser...cause that thing is for sure used more for porn than ign.
