Homebrew 3DS Simulation?

So the 3DS is based around ARM architecture.
I also thought that the Raspberry Pi also is based around ARM architecture.
Could we somehow simulate a 3DS ala-virtualbox on the Raspberry Pi?
Perhaps there are a lot of problems I'm not familiar with... in which case, do let me know!

You mean an emulator? Citra. But have fun getting anything to run on it...
 
It's a hypervisor. It's not an emulator in the widly accepted definition of the word because most components of the system aren't emulated. Calling a VM host an emulator just confuses things for everybody involved.
 
No hardware needed for simulations is missing. For instance the PICA (the GPU) is something the Pi or any other computer or device doesn't have so nothing can simulate the 3DS. Citra is improving quite fast and emulation is a very good alternative.

Ps. the GPU is not the only missing hardware
