Maybe another built in battery so it wouldn't die as quickly when you use 3D mode on it.
YES, Longer the battery life when U 3D...
a better battery is so important. Brightness, Volume, Standby and others should be noticed.

A while ago, I was actually designing an external battery pack that doubled as a shock case for the DSi, maybe the concept could be adopted for the 3DS...

BITCH! Someone beat me to my own design! Back to the drawing board, but thanks for finding that for me KingVamp!

- Better Cameras; having high res cameras would really make the AR games a lot more appealing, same with taking 3D photos.
- Bigger Screens; My eyes are bad, I was barely able to play on it without getting strain due to small screen size.
- $100 cheaper. Says it all.

There are other enhancements I think it could have but then it wouldn't be a 3DS anymore; it would actually be something decent:

- Non-3D model; Don't need the gimmick.
- Higher resolution; Low resolution screens are a thing of the past.
- Faster processor; The included processor is a flop when handling 3D, a lot of lag is introduced since everything is rendered twice, at the same time.

But alas since Nintendo is cheap, it isn't happening. They've already set their specs, it won't be improved upon. It's marketing brilliance to spend $10 [yes I know, exaggeration] to build a unit and sell it for $250, however for technology-whores like myself, it just won't do. Hopefully there's hope for NGP.

Problem - If you add your extra features, the price will go up. Sorry to rain on your parade, but that's the way it is. And PLEASE don't be an NGP fanboy in the 3DS section, it will end in trolling.

Do you not want Nintendo to get any money?

All the stuff you are saying would just jack up the price even more.

um... first time I heard that.

Why do people do that? "Give me more stuff. Make it a lot cheaper!"

If I could improve something about the 3DS, it would definitely be the blowing up of DS games. I think you should be able to control the amount of scaling you want (10%, 80%, etc). I would also add a higher resolution camera, and a better battery.

Also, no. Nintendo could actually give us a good system for that amount. The 3DS is very expensive, and these features need to be improved.

Tho it already good, what make you so sure the could have added in more stuff?

Do you work for them or something?

Cost of parts =/= total cost.

The only way I see all that stuff is to one Jack up the price or two sell at a lost.

Which both isn't going to happen.

I also doubt there will be a price drop when the NGP comes out.

Remember... this is nintendo... Apart from bigger screens, I don't think the rest will happen.

Also, don't mention about the NGP. It will just lead to trolls and fanboy wars, which I reek to see.

it is multi-touch.

there was a article about that game that uses 2 stylus to hit the drums.

It's actually not multi-touch, there is a game that's being released called 'Dual Pen Sports'.
It actually states in Nintendo Magazine (UK) that it's not multitouch that it works on, when you use the 2nd stylus it cancels out the first touch:
"It's designed to LOOK like the mini-games read two styluses at once"

So..multi-touch would be cool, but there are tricks.
I for one HATE that the stylus is behind the screen, would be great it they relocate it to the original spot (on the DSL).
The 3DS altogether is a well crafted machine imo, and the only thing i could change is the release of the shop/internet earlier..there is still much to learn about this console in it's future, downloadable enhancements.

  • Hmm..
  • Bigger Screen
  • Multitouch
  • Screen Placement (Smudge design flaw)
  • Stylus Placement
  • Hinge Correction
  • Battery Life
  • Camera Quality
  • Finger Prints (Needs Matte covering)
  • Anti glare
  • etc
