First off, I'm new to the forum, so I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, but I see other threads asking questions, so hopefully we're all good.

My (old) 3DS has run into some issues recently, and one of which is a message appearing on the bottom screen, saying that the SD card had been removed (when it wasn't), but more commonly than that is this:

"An error occurred (ErrDisp)

Process ID: 41
Process name: SSF4_3DE
Process title ID: 0x0004000000032d00

Address: 0x0034fafc
Error code: 0xc960454b

Press any button to reboot.
"

It's been driving me crazy for the past few days.. Hopefully it's an easy fix! :)

I honestly don't know what CFW I have, a friend put it on there for me, so I'll have to ask him, but is there any way I can check? I didn't see anything under system settings (aside from the fact that it says it's Ver. 11.5.0-38U, if that means anything concerning this) so I'll have to update when I find out or hear back from him.

Typically, all I'm doing is playing some game, and then the game will freeze, and the error message will pop up on the lower screen, either with the error code above, or a message saying the SD card had been removed. Sometimes, the 3DS won't even start up with the SD card inserted, but other times it's fine. I don't know if this is a software issue or if I actually need to replace my SD, but I wanna find out before I drop $15

Every time I try linking to the image, or embedding it, "Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator." pops up. Maybe I'm just an error-magnet.. Arghhh

Upload it to https://pomf.cat, copy the direct link to it, and post it here between IMG tags.

Still not letting me, oddly enough. I uploaded it there, got the direct link, put it in the tags, etc, but the message still pops up. I dunno what to do. Maybe I could PM it to you somehow?

It could be because you don't have enough posts yet. Does it not even allow you to post the direct link (without embedding it)?

Nope, still pops up with a notification saying I can't, unfortunately. Anyhow, the link was an Imgur link, and ended with /H7NYkHk.png :)

I haven't checked with the wireless disabled, so I'll have to get back to you :) Is that typically known to be a problem concerning this error?

Hey all! Sorry for the late reply, there's been a lot going on in my side of the woods lately.

I'm still having the error despite the wireless being disabled. How likely is the possibility that this is a software issue? I don't know if I can afford to replace my SD card right now, especially since it seems to work just fine in my computer

Software issues on the 3DS don't really happen. Have you tried removing everything you don't absolutely need from your SD card?

Hi all! I'm really incredibly sorry for abandoning this thread before: Some really intense stuff came up in my personal life for the past month and a half or so, and my 3DS was the least of my concerns for a bit. I hope all is well and that no one took me not replying as being a personal offense :(

_____

I don't know what I don't absolutely need: I don't know how to tell how my CFW was installed, for example, since a friend did it. Is there anywhere I can check? And have any other possible solutions popped up regarding this error code?

try redownloading luma 3ds (your cfw) from here: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases
(the .7z file)

then just extract the .7z file with either winrar or whatever archive manager you use then replace the boot.firm thats on the root of your sd card with this one

I shall do that! Thank you! :) I'm also formatting my card, given that I read that one of the problems could be a corrupted memory card, so hopefully one of the two will be the solution to my problem. I'll report back with the results
