While looking around my house I found an old 3ds that was broken. I therefore opened it up, replaced the bottom screen with a new one and ran into a problem. The gray clip that held the cable in place(touchscreen) broke so the cable wont stay in(If I could ever get it in because it's impossible and hard as **** to get in the little opening) and now I don't know what to do :/ Is it possible to install home brew and use it without the use of a touchscreen? The 3ds is on firmware 8.0 or something like that. Another question, could someone explain to me how to use this old 3ds to install cfw on my new 3ds? Also, will I lose all my game save data if I do(Plus friends and the Nintendo network Id Linked with it)?
