I am just wondering if the 3DS price will go down in a couple months. Maybe somebody heard something. Not sure figured I would ask.

I am trying to get one desperately but its all leading to retail but its 250 and I can't afford that. I'd be willing to trade what I did have but I doubt anybody wants an old PS2 and 2 PSPs. If I ever come across a deal like that I would be lucky first off and extremely happy secondly.

Life sucks.... gaming is so expensive

guarantee no one will trade their 3ds for a psp and 2 ps2's but they for sure will buy them from you on ebay...that would put you a hundred or so closer... try cutting a few lawns, or something,,,,,and the dsi price didnt drop for a year or two.

I will try to sell them separately then. I can maybe get 80 at most for both PSPs but the PS2 won't go for more than 40 unless I get lucky.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about PSVita. I wonder how much that is gonna be. Knowing Sony it might go for 300. Just because they enjoy overpricing shit.

I been looking for a job trust me I have. But nobody is hiring in the summer around where I live. You can't imagine how many places I have gone asking for jobs. All I have gotten as a response is we will contact you.

it's already announced that psvita will cost $250 for wifi only and $300 for 3g.

that's why many are expecting for a 3ds price drop.

Don't expect a price cut anytime soon, Nintendo already said they aren't threatened by the PSvita price. Maybe in a year or two but not right now.

The UK has already had a massive price drop since launch, from £230 and now selling around £160. The DSi's used to be £149.99 for a long time. I don't see a further 3DS price cut for the UK in a long time.

Yep, I paid £180 for my 3DS with Ocarina of Time. It was hard not to at that price.

Same price I got a Cosmos Black one too.

Only 40 quid more than a DSi XL it's a no brainer IMO.

my 3ds was $300 cuz of shitty california sales tax QQ

7.25% tax rate on a 250$ item=/=300 bucks. You want high taxes come here to Chicago, 9.75% on normal items, 2% on food, and 12.75% on beverages (YES A FUCKING BEVERAGE TAX) is truly BS.

Mine was like, 270 something there is no way yours past that.

the tax here is 13% for everything stop complaining, and extra tax on electronics for a "enviroment disposal fee" paying the extra fee just makes me want to chuck it in a river when I'm done with it.

It's not possible to be $300 with California sales tax. $274.36 would be the price with the highest sales tax in California which is 9.75%. The sales tax in California is anywhere from 7.25%-9.75% depending on where in the state.

I bought mine with a Hori SP, a pouch and a game for S$399 (US$324.45)

Pretty much worth it I guess

EDIT: now the shop is selling the bundle for S$379

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

It does that when I edit a post.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
