Hi, so I had 480-ish hours in AC:NL but I had to format my 3ds, thus resetting my activity log, is there any way to change the playtime? I'd like to change it back to 480 hours so I know how much I've played.

Only with a NAND backup or a backup of the specific files tied to activity log from NAND to safely do that. Besides that, if you know the values/addresses, you could always hex edit it in or something along those lines...

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
