mGBA Alpha 1v Released

Download Link Below

mGBA for 3DS alpha 1v is released and it's awesome. It is much better than CitrAGB and gPSP(retroarch) in my opinion and works way faster and lag free on my console

MY Console = O3DS 9.9.0.26 with ironhax(fixed boot.3dsx)

For Best Experience Use Latest Nightly With 1 or 2 Frameskip on O3DS

Comparison >>

CitrAGB - Slow, Needs BIOS(Not a Problem), Sound Issues (Interpreter), Large games = Not work
NOTE = Users with dynarec will have smooth performance and good fps

gPSP - Not bad, Some games slow, some fast, BIOS needed, need to delete config file every time to get fast loading time, no audio (crashes when audio on)

mGBA - Fast(for me at least), No need for BIOS, Audio is there(although not perfect - has some issues) but still I like some kind of music playing when I play games even if they are not perfect, Has save states and ability to change games without restarting the program.

GAMES TESTED ON mGBA :-

1. Advance Wars 2 - Full Speed, Not so great sound (with Dwedit's speedhack, USA ROM Only)
2. Harvest Moon FMT - Full Speed, I think. Good sound
3. Harvest Moon MFMT - Full Speed, I think. Good sound
4. Mother 3 - Adequate FPS, Not so great sound
5. PKMN Mystery Dungeon RRT - Adequate FPS, Not so great sound
6. Super Robot Taisen OG - Full Speed, I think. Not so great sound
7. Super Robot Taisen OG2 - Full Speed, I think. Not so great sound
8. Super Robot Wars J - Full Speed, I think. Good sound

Notes :-

1. My opinion
2. mGBA made by endrift, all credits to her. Not me
3. mGBA occasionally crashes, no problem due to save states.
(fixed as of recent nightlies)

started a few games that are very slow (unplayable) on citragb and they play fine on this. Like the rockman series and the mario games, still doesnt like large folders though. edit: Also not needing to go out of the emu and in again to switch games is nice

super mario world runs very well. sound is a little laggy and noisy, but otherwise much better than other emulators! great work! i'll test more games and post the results!

N3DS.
Looks like it's random, for me it crashed 3 times with Mother 3. The first was at the very beginning, I opened the sound test and it crashed.
The second time was after naming the characters and the third time was when the Drago cutscene was starting(basically when Claus is playing with them)

I'm using a New Nintendo 3DS XL 9.9.0-26U through Ironhax.

I tried out 3 games that I happened to have on my microSD card at the time: Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, Pokémon FireRed, and Pokémon Emerald. All seemed to run at full or near full speed, but the sound was crackly and the left speaker was oddly slightly louder.

Like @Marsou77 says, all games crash after running for a few minutes.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
cuz I didnt like fallout 1 that much
