Homebrew 3ds hack newbie

Hello, I just got a 3ds and I don’t know anything about 3ds hack, I want to hack it and download games.
So here are my questions please :

-to hack a 3ds, have I to do CFW ?

-Should I follow this guide : (I can’t post link but the 3ds.hacks.guide website)

- By using this method (CFW), is it safe to play online with games ?

-Do I have to do anything to prevent ban ?

-my 3ds version is 11.10.0-43E, will it be easy or should I update it ?

You can have CFW on your 3DS, just don't cheat online or you will get banned, beside that you will be fine, you can still access the eshop and buy stuffs if you want to. Don't asks where to get games we can't provide you link google them, ain't too hard. Yes Luma3ds works on the latest firmware.

You install game via FBI,

As for Installing CFW I have only done Ntrboothax and soundhax method, never done any via safecerthax before, so can't help you on that, just read all the instruction before proceeding you will be fine, ntrboot requires a DS flashcart.

If you are using an Old 3DS, safecerthax is recommended since it doesn't require a DS flashcart. If you're using a New 3DS, I'd use the SSLoth-Browser first. Do you have an Old 3DS, or do you have a New 3DS?

You are highly unlikely to be banned on the 3DS for anything other than cheating online.

Since you will be using CFW, you don't need to worry about using "legit" CIA files.

if it's the same region as the ds, you can update the normal way via the eshop, but even region free games are restricted to their original region when it comes to updating. you'll know because the update nag won't disappear if you try updating when the region is different.

Go into the eShop and check for game updates. Make sure your games are the same region as the 3DS.

- After I hacked my old 3ds xl, will I be able to update the console ? Or should I stay on my current version ?

don't worry about updates. you can update as long as you're on b9s 1.3. that should be the way it is for the remainder of updates.

afaik, you should be okay. the only bad thing in the past was playing a game early.

You want to download European games if you are from Europe. It will default to French language if the 3DS is set to French.

You should always check that Luma3DS is compatible before updating to the latest system version.
