No you cannot play 3DS games on the old DS, DSLite, DSi or DSi XL.
And you mean 'Enhanced'.

3DS exclusive games will only work on the 3DS. The 3DS is far more powerful than the old DS. Regular DS/DSi games will still run on 3DS though.

I say leave the enchanted comment actually, that's hilarious. Not in an insulting way either, i like the word use of "enchanted" for describing 3DS exclusives.
