I have to say: I don't believe the DSi mode is that super hard to crack as many users here think it is. Sure it might be hard and stuff, just like the original DS was at first when they didn't know anything about it. But I think there's a lack of motivation... We all can manage without the DSi features easily...
The 3DS however will be a brand new system, which crackers or hackers, whatever you call them, will have more reasons to try harder... So I think that a flashcard WILL come.

I think it will be a flashcard, since every cart-based game system has had cart-based piracy/homebrew tools.
I'd rather not have cfw. I think it's more of a struggle to get it working.
