That won't cut it, you need STRONGER ones. What's your cpu?
Even 6th gen I7 and GTX 1070 only make subpar fps.
Better buy a 3DS, it's much cheaper.
Seeing that ram bit, you're using 32 bit?

Does it have that much of graphics.
I don't think so.
The 3DS emulator is still in very early state, so it's not optimized enough (yet), let alone the compatibility the Citra emulator has.
Can i atleast use it when i reduce the resolution.
Sure you can turn the resolution down, but that won't make any difference.
You better buy a 3DS if you only want 3DS emulation.
Believe me, unless you also invest for PC gaming, the emulation isn't worth it.

It won't run it that well. If you're going to be buying a computer you might as well build it yourself and your budget would have to be more then that costs. A gaming PC can easily cost $1500 USD.
everyone has told me to build a computer but I just cant I dont have a job and im getting this money from selling old stuff.
:(

Buying a pre-built gaming computer will tack on about another $200-300 so you better save all of your pennies.

Sorry for the thread hijack, but i think OP got their answer already.

How would a Core i7-4710MQ 2.5GHz and Radeon R9 290X with 8GB of RAM in a notebook go for 3DS emulation?

eew. it comes with windows 8.1.. you can build a far better pc than that for the same price. all you need to do is load that money on a visa gift card and go shopping on newegg, amazon, or even ebay.

specs dont really matter since the emulator is far from making games 100% playable. get a 3ds or a 2ds, it makes life easier.
