I was wondering if someone could help me with an issue I've been experiencing with my screen.

When I put my stylus towards the left side of the screen, it registers about a centimetre off. It works alright everywhere else no the screen, maybe a couple millimetres off at some points. IT'S NOT A CALIBRATION ISSUE, It registers wrong when I try to calibrate the system as well.

Sorry for the really bad quality picture, but as you can see, the area my stylus is isn't matching up with the area my drawing is. I'm wondering if this is a solvable hardware problem that can be fixed without buying a new part. I have no idea if the 3ds uses a sheet of censors, or two corner censors, or what. I just want to know if It's solvable.

Thanks in advance, if anyone can help!

If you've already tried holding L+R+X as you power the system on to calibrate the touch screen and it hasn't worked, then unfortunately the touch screen will have to actually be replaced to fix the problem. A replacement touch screen only costs about about $4 to $5 though, so if you're confident that you can do the labor yourself, it's certainly worth the price. Fortunately, the LCD screen itself is a separate part, so there's no need to replace it.

Thanks for the reply! I ended up ordering a replacement for around $2, and I opened up the console just in case to check if it was just loose or something. Thread can be closed now.

maybe a little bit to late, but do you use a screenprotector? one time my touch screen of the ds was messed up, and the screenprotector was the blame:P (after reapplying it it worked though).
